My Journey – The Birth of Cellamoon
My journey began in my teenage years, when I learned to listen to my inner voice and protect it from the weight of societal norms. Shedding the masks, breaking free from expectations, and embracing my creative power became my tools for survival. The more I understood who I was, the clearer my path became. That path led me to Cellamoon—a world that had been waiting for me all along.
Founded in 2024, Cellamoon Art is a rebellion against the ordinary. It’s about crafting dazzling paintings, Ready-To-Wear Art, and fearless fashion design for independent artists who challenge the status quo. Here, we reject conformity and celebrate brilliance without fear.
For those who crave bold aesthetics and unapologetic self-expression, Cellamoon is a canvas where disruption meets craftsmanship. Every detail matters—because true artistry isn’t just seen, it’s felt.
What’s in a Name?
Cellamoon is a tribute to femininity, creativity, and spirituality. The name intertwines languages and emotions—"Ella", meaning she is Spanish, embodies the feminine essence, while Moon symbolizes intuition, transformation, and artistic energy.
There’s also a whisper of love in its sound—Cellamoon echoes “C’est l’amour” in French, meaning “It’s love.” A name that blends artistry, emotion, and poetic playfulness— just like the creations it represents.
Juan Francisco Espinosa – Artist’s Bio
In 2009, fresh out of high school, I left my home in Ecuador—one of three siblings—to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Over the past 15 years, I’ve lived in seven countries—the UK, France, Singapore, the US, Spain, Thailand, and Vietnam—each shaping my perspective and fueling my creative spirit.
My early years were dedicated to building an international career and studying business in Ecuador while staying close to my roots. But the pull of independence and introspection led me to explore industries beyond borders—starting in insurance in the US, then transitioning into retail, software development, and ultimately, data science in Vietnam. Yet, amidst all these paths, one thing remained constant: my art.
What began as a personal escape—painting for solace, sketching as a means of expression—soon became my undeniable passion. Every country I lived in and every culture I experienced added layers to my artistic vision. In Vietnam and Thailand, I truly understood the importance of self-awareness and aligning with one’s creative essence.
Now based in Los Angeles, I’ve fully embraced my journey in Performing and Visual Arts. Inspired by musicians, painters, designers, performers, and actors, I see my work as a fusion of storytelling and self-discovery. My paintings explore the individual—our shadows, hero’s journey, and transformation into our true selves. Through light, shadow, and my unique interplay of lines and colors, I create extravagant, avant-garde fine art that captures identity in its rawest form.
Art is my vehicle for truth—a way to process emotions, challenge perspectives, and celebrate individuality. As an introvert, I’ve spent years listening, observing, and recharging—allowing creativity to flow from within. Only when my own glass is full can I pour into my art and share it with others.
This is my hero’s journey—breaking free, peeling away the layers to reveal my true self. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to do the same—to embrace their essence, own their story, and let their individuality shine.
If my art speaks to you, I’d love to connect. Feel free to reach out.
With love,
Juan ✨
